Sarah Stowers, L.Ac.
Sarah Stowers, L.Ac. is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine specializing in Acupuncture, Tui Na and Shiatsu massage, Chinese Herbology, plus Lifestyle and Nutritional advice. She is Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO in 2008.
She also studied in Harbin, China at the Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine. Sarah has had extensive training in muscular and skeletal pain, women’s health care issues and allergy eliminations.
Sarah practices out of two offices in downtown Charleston. The primary location is Integrative Health Solutions, conveniently located on East Bay Street. She also practices at Oné Respé Massage Therapy for Wellness Clinic located on Spring Street. She offers extended hours Monday-Friday, and accepts same day appointments (based on availability).

Dr. Erin Passow
Dr. Erin Passow is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years experience working with adult individuals and couples. She received her BA degree in Sociology from Clemson University. After graduating, Erin spent several years counseling adults with disabilities in Northern Virginia before deciding to pursue her studies in Clinical Psychology.
Her interest in Western and Eastern modalities of psychotherapy led her to The California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco where she earned her Doctorate Degree. Erin’s additional graduate training at The Jung Institute of San Francisco deepened her commitment to a holistic, relational, and growth-oriented approach to treating patients. Her clinical research has focused on patients’ experience of combining psychotherapy with complimentary alternative modalities such as acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage therapy.
Erin has recently relocated to the Charleston area and is enjoying building her practice and collaborating with other holistic practitioners, in particular, the team at Khouri Chiropractic and Health Solutions. She works with a diverse clientele of individuals who encompass a wide range of ages, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientation, and professions.
Erin works to help her patients:

Edward M. Tavel, Jr., MD
Born and raised in Charleston, SC, Dr. Tavel has practiced pain management since 1993. Passionate about providing his patients with the latest advances in pain treatment techniques, he leads his experienced medical staff in providing compassionate and customized care. Dr. Tavel uses a full range of interventional, non-surgical techniques and provides a comprehensive approach to treating pain.
His special areas of interest include arthritis of the spine and chronic nerve related pain. He is specifically skilled in radiofrequency ablation for arthritic-related pain of the spine, and is one of the few physicians in the Charleston area performing neuromodulation therapy using spinal cord stimulation.
Dr. Tavel earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his MD at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed four additional years of anesthesia and pain medicine training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and was chief resident in his final year. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesia and the American Board of Pain Medicine.
He maintains active membership in the Interventional Spinal Intervention Society (ISIS), as well as, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP). Dr. Tavel has been named as one of ASC’s “Industry Leaders to Know” as well as one of the top “150 Pain Management Physicians” nationwide. When he is not practicing pain medicine, Dr. Tavel can be found spending time with his wife and two sons.
