Katie Coleman, D.C.Dr. Katie Coleman is a South Carolina native who was born and raised in Travelers Rest, SC. She moved to Columbia in 2002 to become a Gamecock and graduated from USC in early 2007 with a degree in General Biology.

After school she moved to Charleston for the first time and began work as a research assistant at Hollings Cancer Center. Her lab’s research centered around the discovery and extraction of natural compounds from green tea, pitanga fruit, and African mahogany bark, which could potentially serve as natural inhibitors of breast and colon cancer. This was her first exposure to the world of alternative medicine.

In 2010 she began chiropractic school at the University of Western States in Portland OR, where she completed her Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine. She primarily studied and practices diversified technique, but also is skilled in and frequently utilizes Webster technique, SOT, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, and post-isometric relaxation exercises. She loves working with people from all walks of life, and customizes her treatments to each individual patient based on their background and lifestyle.

In her free time, Dr. Coleman enjoys reading, running, and spending time at the beach.
